These Sculptured Pelican
Mailbox and Pelican Weathervane will look Beautiful everywhere. You
don't have to live on the coast to bring a touch of the tropics to your home
and roof top!
Both the
PELICAN
MAILBOX and WEATHERVANE are carved and sculpted by hand out of cedar to
create the realistic lines and texture that brings them to life.

Construction starts with a standard U.S. Post
Office approved mailbox, around which we construct a cage made out of
exterior B.C. plywood. Then we cover the plywood with layers of
Western Cedar. This gives the textured layered look of our PELICAN
MAILBOX. The door and back are also covered in cedar for a finished
look. A wooden base plate is added to the bottom for post mounting.
After construction, our Pelican is sent to the
spray booth, to be covered inside and out with a protective layer of
exterior paint. Then, he moves on to the art studio, where our artists
add their own mix of realistic colors and details to bring him to
life. We use only the finest exterior acrylic enamel in our painting.
And as a final step, we add multiple coats of exterior polyurethane as
a protective layer.
This method of layered, cedar construction and
painting gives our PELICAN MAILBOX the strength and durability to
withstand the elements for years to come. |

Our Wood Weathervanes
are a rare combination of function and art. The Ornament -- the
crowning touch of every weathervane -- is individually handcrafted in
layers of weather-loving, textured red cedar then artisan-painted in
brilliant colors, followed by antique glazing and a clear finish
coating. Each design is proudly SIGNED and DATED.
Each weathervane comes
as a complete ensemble composed of a wood-carved ornament (with
embedded brass swivel tube), and all the usual components of solid
brass and copper in antique finish, the black iron assembly rods ---
AND, at no extra cost, your choice of an exterior or interior
ensemble mounting fixture for roof tops, walls/eaves, gardens or
